Well of *course* Futurama's ace. But Doctor Who is not Futurama. Except, suddenly, it is. :-)
I don't mind the fact that Doctor Who cheerfully hops genres; that's part of its charm and its versatility. I just felt that they could have satirised reality TV in a less on-the-nose way without the audience having to assume that by the year 200,100 Davina McCall and Anne Robinson are still famous for presenting the same shows, which have kept exactly the same format and exactly the same sets.
