I agree - predictably - with pretty much everything Dan said. I thought CJ being made CoS was just ridiculous and had no basis in reality whatsoever. I need to go back and finish this series but my heart doesn't exactly leap at the prospect.
The dialogue and characterisation has become leaden without Sorkin. Even when there is what Iain calls "tapdance", it's faking, and you can tell.
