Take me out to the Black, and shoot me

Oh my god. I'm older than Nathan Fillion. I'm not sure why this upsets me, but it does.

In other news, I'm not Tony Blair's biggest fan but surely this is a complete non-story. It's been all over News 24 today. It seems to me like a classic example of the press arbitrarily deciding that something trivial is 'news' simply because it's pure pundit fodder.

There, there. *soothes*

I had assumed he was older myself.

Thank you. :-) I just assume that every leading man on TV is older than me. It used to be true...

I wouldn't mind if I actually felt like a grown-up...

The Prime Minister coming as close as he is ever likely to come to admitting he hopelessly compromised his own authority not a news story?

You jest, shirley?

Well it just strikes me as massive over-analysis. The press believes that it was a bad decision, so they jump on any reference to it no matter how minor. And this sounded pretty minor.

It didn't change the fact that he's standing down, or the fact that no-one knows the date. It didn't change anything at all, in fact. It wasn't even a proper admission that he did something wrong - really no more than a verbal shrug: 'well I thought it was right at the time, maybe I was wrong'. Is it really a headline news story? Even if he out-and-out admitted to a mistake - which is not what it sounds like on the video - the matter at hand is hardly life or death.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.

And you and Nathan Fillion are both mere children from where I'm standing, damn you!

I think you must be standing on a chair or something... :-)
