Useful dates for the diary

US TV seasons are about to resume...

Battlestar Galactica (Season 2) - Fri 6th Jan
(Also S2 starts on Sky One on Tue 10th Jan at 9 p.m.)
Stargate: SG-1 (Season 9) - Fri 6th Jan
Stargate Atlantis (Season 2) - Fri 6th Jan
The West Wing (Season 7) - Sun 8th Jan
House, M.D. (Season 2) - Tue 10th Jan
Lost (Season 2) - Wed 11th Jan
Veronica Mars (Season 2) - Wed 18th Jan (Woo!)

We're waiting for House to show up on UK telly, and we've given up on Lost. Who knows why we're still watching Stargate Atlantis. Meanwhile on UK TV, Sky One are airing the new CSI-tinged show with David Boreanaz in it, Bones, on Thur 12th Jan at 10 p.m.

Bones looks possible – I'll certainly give it a look. I hope Living (or someone else) picks up VM season 2 (I loved S1). House S2 starts in a week or two on Five; or at least that what Tivo was claiming the other day...

Looking forward to BG S2 too...

I can't say I'm massively anticipating Bones but I'm sort of vaguely curious to see what it's like.

VM Season 2 is well worth a look and is increasingly strong, and yay for House coming soon if that info is right!

I DLed Bones on spec (something I don't often do). I found it to be hugely entertaining and not even remotely Angely, but the first ep should have done more to establish the suporting characters. This is rectified pretty pronto though. It is thoroughly daft hokum, but I think it is high quality thoroughly daft hokum. The hokumness may shift when they delve into the back story (which has only really be sketched to date). There is also a gentle running gag poking fun at the hip-pop-culture-awareness of modern TV characters. If you get especially desperate I could probably burn my xvids to a DVD.

As someone else says, Medium is well worth the effort. It is made entirely by the performance of the main ensemble (including the kids) rather than it's 'based on a real person' premise. It really is much better than it has any right to be.

Me too.

"VM Season 2 is well worth a look and is increasingly strong,"

Hoorah! Let's hope someone picks it up...

"and yay for House coming soon if that info is right!"

I've just checked again, and it has "Acceptance" (2x01) at 10pm on Thursday 19th January, on Five.
