I think you underestimate the gender issues in this show at your peril

Yes, it's not so much that gender issues don't exist at all. Clearly they do exist in society and BG mirrors them. Further the character of Six has by design the kind of seedy fanboy appeal that Seven of Nine did on Voyager, although she does at least have a strong agenda to go with the sex.

I just don't feel that it's always sexist or exploitational or demeaning to show attempted violence against women - regardless of context. Here we have attempted (not actual) rape by a character you're supposed to abhor, in a manner you're supposed to find shocking, in a situation where you're supposed to sympathise with the victim, and layered on top of this are all the show's usual preoccupations with making you empathise with Cylons who are ostensibly the villains. It's about showing us that sometimes humans are worse than cylons, it's about showing us how far some of "our" humans have come in their attitudes compared to the norm.

The breeding chamber thing comes, unfortunately, from the idea that the Cylons wish to procreate with humans, but again it's presented as abhorent (and indeed Starbuck takes rather strong steps to prevent it happening when she encounters it.)
